Product Liability

One of the more significant legal developments in the last century was the expansion of contract and tort law to compensate for the injuries and property damage that can result from defective products. This eventually led to the drafting and adoption of the Restatement (Second) of Torts Section 402(a) in the early 1960s, and the various judicial interpretations that have taken place since.

Over the years, Robb Leonard Mulvihill has defended product liability cases involving industrial machinery, drugs, motor vehicles, tools, food products, medical devices, and various other products. We have represented manufacturers, distributors and retailers faced with allegations that products they placed into the stream of commerce caused property damage or personal injury. This has required specialized knowledge of the relevant law, as well as a practical understanding of all aspects of the products involved.
