ERISA

In 1974, Congress passed The Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). The purpose of ERISA was to govern the operation and administration of employee benefit plans under a single, uniform federal scheme.

As any ambitious piece of legislation, ERISA has spawned volumes of litigation, as courts have wrestled with the law's practical application. Corporations often seek legal counsel in administering employee benefit plans. When a dispute arises, attorneys with hands-on litigation experience become indispensable.

Robb Leonard Mulvihill attorneys provide both counsel and legal defense to companies faced with ERISA questions and disputes. We have also prosecuted claims on behalf of corporate officers under benefit plans relating to severance. We are prepared to assist with any ERISA related question or dispute.
