Alternative Dispute Resolution
Sometimes, full blown state or federal court litigation is the last option for parties seeking to vindicate rights. Private and public arbitration and mediation exist as cost saving venues for quicker dispute resolution. Our attorneys are often asked to act as arbitrators and mediators. We also represent parties before the various arbitration bodies that facilitate specialization and the streamlining of litigation. More and more, parties are required to arbitrate under dispute resolution provisions in commercial, employment, securities, and construction contracts.
Robb Leonard Mulvihill’s experience in alternative dispute resolution is a tremendous resource for those who retain us as their attorneys. Plaintiffs and defendants are entitled to clear and unreserved advice about alternative venues that may be available. It helps, of course, if the attorneys providing the advice have literally "been there before;" i.e., if they have litigated in alternative forums or if they have acted as arbitrators and mediators by invitation.
Our attorneys understand the purpose and benefits of alternative dispute resolution. We will assist and advise our clients in private and public mediation and arbitration when the circumstances call for it.
